Pakistan is looking to regroup after suffering an early loss in the form of Babar Azam’s wicket. The early breakthrough for India came courtesy of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who got rid of Babar in the third over of the match. Mohammad Rizwan had escaped an early leg-before-wicket appeal, which had been made against him when Bhuvneshwar’s nip-backer came close to catching him off guard.
Rizwan got off to a shaky start, but Babar Azam got off to a spectacular drive right away to get the ball rolling. Rishabh Pant was passed over for a spot in India’s playing eleven in favor of Dinesh Karthik, keeping in mind the fact that Karthik is an experienced player.
Virat Kohli is back in action after being given some time off during India’s most recent two trips (to the West Indies and Zimbabwe), so all eyes are on him. The man who once led India will compete in his hundredth Twenty20 International match, making him the first Indian player to compete in at least one hundred matches across all three forms.
Babar Azam departs for a low score
The Pakistan Cricket Board announced a few hours before today’s Twenty20 International match against India that the young Pakistani bowler Naseem Shah would make his Twenty20 International debut today. Hasan Ali has also joined the Pakistan squad after being called in as a late substitute for Mohammad Wasim Jr., who was injured after suffering a side strain.
India and Pakistan are finally facing one another in a cricket match after a break of nearly a full year. The most recent occasion that these two sides competed against one another was during a Twenty20 World Cup match at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The squad captained by Babar Azam emerged victorious on match day, scoring a 10-wicket victory over their fiercest opponents.
In that match, Pakistan achieved its first victory against India in a match of the World Cup. And now, India, at long last, has the opportunity to get its revenge on the defeat. In the Asia Cup, Team India is facing Pakistan at the same location on Sunday. Rohit will lead the Indian side. The much-anticipated meeting will serve as the first game of the season for both squads.

Babar azam is like that son, no matter how bad he does, he's always going to be dear to his mother. We all are moms to him.
