“Why would Gujarat let Lockie Ferguson go?”, Twitter reacts Lockie Ferguson and Rahmanullah Gurbaz traded from Gujarat Titans to Kolkata Knight Riders for IPL 2023

IPL 2023 Trade Window is active and we have the second official news on Sunday. Gujarat Titans have traded pacer Lockie Ferguson and Afghan cricketer Rahmanullah Gurbaz to Kolkata Knight Riders. Here, we take a look at how Twitter reacted as Lockie Ferguson and Rahmanullah Gurbaz traded from Gujarat Titans to Kolkata Knight Riders for IPL 2023.

Lockie Ferguson and Rahmanullah Gurbaz were traded to KKR

KKR had the vacancy for a pacer who can be relied upon at death. Last season, they struggled in this aspect. The likes of Pat Cummins, Tim Southee, Umesh Yadav, and Shivam Mavi did not enjoy a great season. Hence, they have now got hold of Lockie. While Lockie can also bowl in the middle overs, he will be a great addition for the death overs. Since he was not exceptional for GT, the IPL 2022 champions would not mind much.

Along with a solid pacer, KKR also needed an opener, who can preferably keep wickets. Both Baba Indrajith and Sam Billings could not justify their position in the XI. Hence, Gurbaz will be an option for the franchise from IPL 2023. If KKR can also keep Alex Hales, they would have two real good options to open the batting with Venkatesh Iyer or Sunil Narine. It would not be a bad option to try Hales and Gurbaz together, as well.

Twitter reacts to the second news in IPL 2023 trade window

Jason Behrendorff was traded by Royal Challengers Bangalore to Mumbai Indians on Saturday. This was the first trade news for the season. On the next day itself, the fans have been treated to another development. Meanwhile, the stage is set for the teams to announce their list of retentions. The last date will be November 15th. On that note, here is how Twitter reacted to Lockie and Gurbaz switching their sides in the trade window:
