Why is Bhuvneshwar Kumar not playing against Delhi Capitals?

The 14th edition of the Indian Premier League hasn’t started positively for the Orange Army. Led by David Warner, Sunrisers Hyderabad has just managed to win 1 out of 4 games this season. The side is currently holding the last second position on the points table with just a mere 2 points by their name. Bhuvneshwar Kumar is not a part of the ongoing game against DC.

The exit of their main man T Natarajan from the remaining fixtures have made their way even more difficult. The pacer played his last match of this season against KKR on 11th April, and since then, his knee injury has been worsening. The management hasn’t announced his replacement yet.

However, this situation has become more hurtful for the franchise as another star bowler has an injury scare. Bhuvneshwar Kumar is the one as he has been dropped for their game against Delhi Capitals.

David Warner at the toss vs. Delhi Capitals stated that “It doesn’t matter. Experienced heads in the middle, we were able to do that. We bowled well, that’ pleasing. Bhuvi’s pulled up, bit sore. Suchith’s coming in for him.

The absence of Bhuvneshwar Kumar could hurt SRH

Bhuvneshwar Kumar had a decent show in his last game where he grabbed one wicket by leaking 16 runs in 3 overs. It seems like he might have hurt his lower limb, which has kept him out of this game.

The SRH management would hope for his early recovery as he holds the key position in their lineup. With Bhuvi warming the bench, the responsibilities might rely heavily on the shoulders of Khaleel Ahmed and Siddarth Kaul.

With four matches already being over, the Orange Army must be eyeing getting some consecutive victories in their upcoming fixtures as they have the likes of some big names like David Warner, Rashid Khan, and Jonny Bairstow, who can turn the game at any moment.
