Glenn Maxwell ruled out of the game against Mumbai Indians – Reports 

In what has been the latest development as per the reports in TOI, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) all-rounder Glenn Maxwell has been ruled out of the team’s opening clash against Mumbai Indians. The all-rounder is yet to recover from the injury he suffered a few months back.

Maxwell after his injury returned to action in the ODI series against India. He played the first game of the series but was seen limping after the game. He then didn’t feature in the last two games as it was learned that he was in discomfort. The batter’s participation is now under doubt for the first game against MI as well.

RCB will begin their IPL 2023 campaign against Mumbai Indians on 2nd April. But their injury woes in camp might see them playing the first game without some big names. Apart from Glenn Maxwell, the availability of Raja Patidar, Josh Hazlewood and Wanindu Hasaranga is in jeopardy.

While Patidar, Maxwell and Hazlewood will miss the first few games due to injury, Hasaranga will join the team on 8th April due to international commitments. Sri Lanka is slated to take New Zealand in the three-match T20I series and the leg-spinner wasn’t given NOC by the board.
