Mumbai Indians hogged the limelight after they recruited the services of Australian international Cameron Green for a whopping price tag of INR 17.5 crore from his base price of INR 2 crore.
Cameron Green who is considered the next big thing in Australian cricket will be looking forward to making his debut in the cash-rich Indian Premier League. He even said that he was pinching himself when he was sold for a huge amount.
Just days after he was sold for a staggering fee, he made his presence count with the ball in the second Test match against the South African cricket team at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
It is worth mentioning here that he bagged his first-ever five-wicket haul in Test cricket. Cameron Green is just getting started in international cricket and will surely be carving out a niche for himself as an all-rounder.
Cameron Green won’t be able to bowl till April 13
According to a source from TOI, Cameron Green will be available for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League but won’t be able to bowl till April 13.
It means that Cameron Green won’t be bowling for Mumbai Indians in two or three games of the IPL. After that, he will be able to deliver the goods as an all-rounder for the MI franchise.
Cameron Green has been ruled out of the third and final Test match against South Africa on January 4. The young all-rounder sustained a minor fracture on his right index finger after being struck by Proteas’ paceman Anrich Nortje’s ball.
As a result, the young all-rounder will not be able to take part in the dead rubber against South Africa. Earlier, Australia won the first Test by six wickets at The Gabba in Brisbane.
They also followed it up with another win over Proteas by winning the game by an innings and 182 runs as the Aussies won the series by 2-0 with one more game to be played.
We can take Green the Batsman, his bowling economy is too high
