“Very harsh decision” – Fans react as Wanindu Hasaranga replaces David Willey for RCB
Royal Challengers Bangalore started their IPL 2023 campaign ever so well and they got the better of Mumbai Indians in their first game. Nonetheless, they failed to operate as a team in the next two games.
Royal Challengers Bangalore surrendered at the hands of Kolkata Knight Riders in their second game. During the third game against Lucknow Super Giants, they gave it all but lost the game by one wicket.
Meanwhile, RCB are now locking horns with Delhi Capitals in their fourth game of this season. The game is currently being held at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru.
Talking about the game, Delhi Capitals’ skipper David Warner won the toss and invited Faf du Plessis and Co to bat first. Delhi Capitals are the only team this season that are yet to open their account. Having played three games so far, Delhi Capitals lost all three.
Wanindu Hasaranga replaces David Willey for RCB
Meanwhile, Sri Lankan international Wanindu Hasaranga who was busy with national commitments earlier is finally back in the mix for the clash against Delhi Capitals.
Wanindu Hasaranga was the leading wicket-taker for RCB in the IPL 2022 season. Moreover, he was also the second leading wicket-taker with 26 wickets to his name.
Meanwhile, Wanindu Hasaranga replaced David Willey in the ongoing game against Delhi Capitals. It was confirmed by none other than skipper Faf du Plessis at the toss.
Several other fans on social media were not too happy with the decision as they felt that it was a little harsh that a good bowler like David Willey is being replaced. In fact, David Willey chipped in with disciplinary bowling performances for RCB this season.

David Willey was really good but has to sit as middle over bowling depends on Hasaranga only.

RCB MVP is back. Now RCB attack going to be more potent & lethal. Hasaranga can bat well too.
