Sunrisers Hyderabad locked horns with Kolkata Knight Riders in the 47th match of IPL 2023 at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. Earlier in the game, KKR won the toss and chose to bat first.

KKR’s star batter Rinku Singh scored 46 off 35 balls with the help of 4 boundaries and a six at a strike rate of 131. On the other hand, KKR captain Nitish Rana chipped in with 42 off 31 balls including 3 fours and 3 sixes.

On the other side of the coin, the likes of T Natarajan and Marco Jansen took two wickets apiece for Sunrisers Hyderabad. In the end, Kolkata Knight Riders posted a challenging total of 171/9 in their quota of 20 overs.

In response, Sunrisers Hyderabad performed pretty well in fragments but at the expense of losing too many wickets at regular intervals. However, the batters managed to take the game to the deep.

At one stage, Sunrisers Hyderabad were the clear favourites to win the game, courtesy of sensational batting from Heinrich Klaasen who delivered the goods for the team by scoring 36 off 20 balls including 1 four and three sixes during his stay at the crease.

Even after his dismissal, Abdul Samad ensured to score crucial runs by chipping in with 21 off 18 balls including three fours but he was dismissed at the wrong time. Varun Chakravarthy was the game-changer for KKR.
