“Unadkat is the definition of hard work and persistence” – Twitter reacts after Jaydev Unadkat takes his maiden Test wicket after his Test debut in 2010

India’s fast bowler Jaydev Unadkat couldn’t be any happier upon seeing his name in the squad for the Test series against Bangladesh. Earlier, Jaydev Unadkat steered the Saurashtra cricket team to Ranji Trophy glory.

Saurashtra cricket team got the better of the Maharashtra cricket team in the Ranji Trophy final and days later, Unadkat was rewarded with a call-up to the national cricket team for the two-match Test series.

The southpaw earned a call-up to the Test team after his Test debut in 2010 and since then, he fell out of favour with the selectors owing to stiff competition in the Indian cricket team.

Unadkat didn’t play the Test opener against the Bangladesh cricket team in Chattogram due to a delay in his visa arrival. Upon getting the issue solved, he made a terrific comeback to Test cricket in the second Test in Dhaka.
