Two players who RCB can target to replace an injured Rajat Patidar

Rajat Patidar has been ruled out with an Achilles Heel

In a shocker of news for the Royal Challengers Bangalore, one of their key elements from IPL 2022, Rajat Patidar has been ruled out of the tournament due to an injured Achilles heel. It was expected that he would join the team for the latter stages of the game as he was undergoing his rehab at the NCA in Bengaluru.

Much to his woes, after detailed medical prognosis, it has been deemed that he was not going to recover in time for the tournament and also keeping the World Cup that is slated to be played later in the year, Rajat Patidar was deemed out of the tournament. He came on in the first place as a substitute of an injured Luvnith Sisodia. Now with Patidar gone, here are two players who can come in the place of RCB’s number three.

#1 Rohan Kannumal

A rising sensation from Kerala, Rohan Kunnumal was in fine touch in the domestic circuit in the ongoing year. Plying his trade for Kerala, he managed to smash around scores of 50 against Jharkhand, 31 and 40 against Chattisgarh, 20 and 34 against Goa. He can also roll his arms by a good deal that makes him a valuable addition to the RCB side, particularly their top-order. He can also be used as an efficient impact player.

#2 Himmat Singh

Previously been a part of RCB, Himmat Singh knows a thing or two about the team’s ethos. He has been in terrific form of late in the domestic circuit, smashing a century against Andhra Pradesh followed by a crushing 85 against a formidable force like Mumbai. He can accelerate in no time and is known for his flair to deliver under the pump. Ideally, with Rajat gone, RCB may shuffle the ranks a bit and Himmat Singh is versatile enough to slot into any position he likes.
