Two changes that KKR must make in the upcoming fixture against PBKS to assert themselves better

KKR has been struggling with the middle-order that will need some serious support

It was madness at the Narendra Modi Stadium as KKR pulled a win out of nowhere and it came through an unheralded moniker of Rinku Singh. A knock that would surpass all the beauties of the tournament so far was impeccable to say the least and eventually finished with a glass-shattering crescendo where he would storm through the gates of impossibility to rack up a remarkable win.

However, they have pulled off a couple of crazy victories for sure but then again the glaring chinks in the line-up still remains and until KKR finds a solution for the same, it may fester into a wound that you would never know. Here are a couple of changes that KKR needs to make for the following fixture against the Sunrisers Hyderabad.

#1 Jason Roy in place of Andre Russell

KKR’s batting woes continue and until they can fix the problems that are out on the loose, individual brilliance can only take them to a certain extent. Andre Russell has been miles away from his peak and continues to struggle on a daily basis. He is also not bowling that is a sign of the fact that either Nitish Rana isn’t particularly sure how to use him to the fullest or he is injured.

Jason Roy is one of the finest T20 batters in the circuit and can change the game head on with a serious brand of imperious domination. He has a string of swashbuckling shots in his repertoire and can actually come to the fore, seeing off the powerplay in style. Now that Russell is being used as a batter, that would make Roy a like-for-like replacement.

#2 David Wiese in place of Lockie Ferguson

Taking out Lockie Ferguson is a challenging decision but once again David Wiese is a bowler who may not have express pace but holds the key to some crucial overs in the middle. With Umesh Yadav and Shardul Thakur manning the opening and the death overs, the middle overs can very well be spread between narine, Charavarthy, Suyash Sharma and David Wiese.

The second reason why he should be inducted even more into the side is because of his batting prowess. He is a seasoned campaigner, a well-known name in the international circuit and most importantly can change the game on its head almost single-handedly as we saw in the T20 World Cup.
