New Zealand national cricket team led by Kane Williamson have done ever so well in the ongoing edition of the ICC Men’s Twenty20 World Cup 2022 in Australia.
The Black Caps topped the Group 1 points table by securing three wins out of the five games. New Zealand’s lone defeat came against England in Super 12 and apart from that, the other game ended as no result.
New Zealand are one of the four teams that made it to the semi-finals of the eighth edition of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022. The Black Caps are currently playing against Pakistan in the first semi-final clash in Sydney.
Kane Williamson shows his composure in a knockout game against Pakistan
New Zealand captain Kane Williamson won the toss and chose to bat first against the Green Shirts. Babar Azam and Co largely benefitted from the services of Shaheen Shah Afridi as he dismissed Finn Allen for 4 runs.
Soon after that, Devon Conway was outsmarted by Shadab Khan’s direct throw. Meanwhile, New Zealand skipper absorbed the pressure and kept ticking the flow of runs gradually.
He went on to score 46 off 42 balls in a knockout match where he constructed his innings with the help of one four and a six. Besides that, he has been taking the crucial 1’s and 2’s in the game.
