At the same time, India triumphed in the coin toss against their bitter rivals and decided to bowl first in the match that is being played at the Dubai International Stadium. During the toss, Pakistan’s skipper, Babar Azam, remarked that his team would have preferred to bowl first on the surface if given the chance.
He said: “Bowling would have been first on the agenda as well, but we do not have control over this matter. We shall do our best to rack up a large score and then see what happens. There were three fast bowlers, and two spinners, and Naseem Shah made his first appearance. In that Indian squad, you’ll recognize some familiar names alongside a few fresh ones. We are making an effort to do the very best we can.”
