“They Will All Remember That Forever”- Twitter Reacts As David Warner Plays Street Cricket With Young Boys In Mumbai

Australian cricket team’s star opener David Warner was spotted playing gully cricket in Mumbai ahead of his team’s first ODI match against the Indian cricket team. The teams of Australia and India have landed in Mumbai for the ODI series opener at the Wankhede Stadium.

There was a short break between the fourth Test’s final day in Ahmedabad and the first ODI in Mumbai. The players utilized this break in different ways. While Indian batter Virat Kohli decided to give a pep talk to the women’s team of the Royal Challengers Bangalore in WPL 2023, Australia’s Warner opted to play street cricket.

A Twitter user shared a clip of Warner playing cricket on the streets of Mumbai. You can watch the video here, followed by some of the Twitter reactions to it:

David Warner became the new captain of IPL team Delhi Capitals earlier today

Delhi Capitals suffered a major blow ahead of the 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League as their captain Rishabh Pant was ruled out of action due to an accident. Instead of Pant, David Warner will captain the Delhi-based franchise this year in the Indian Premier League.

Expressing his gratitude towards the team management for their faith in him, Warner said earlier today:

“Rishabh has been a terrific leader for Delhi Capitals, and we’re all going to miss having him around. I would like to thank the management for the faith and trust they’ve always shown in me. This franchise has always been home for me.”

Warner will join the Delhi Capitals after the ODI series between the Australian cricket team and the Indian cricket team concludes on March 22. The matches will happen in Mumbai, Vizag and Chennai. DC are scheduled to open their campaign against the Lucknow Super Giants at the Bharat Ratna Shree Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium.
