“The return of the magician!”, Twitter ecstatic after Rashid Khan derails the iconic English duo of Ben Stokes and Moeen Ali

Rashid Khan returns to haunt Moeen Ali: It was the IPL opener and Chennai Super Kings were up against the might of the Gujarat Titans, Hardik Pandya won the toss and opted to bowl first, keeping in mind, the ease of batting second in the Narendra Modi Stadium.

However, taking the Gujarat bowling head on, Chennai Super Kings had a slightly dubious start where Devon Conway had an early reprieve after a cracker of an over from Mohammed Shami to only return back to the pavilion in the very next as Shami razed through his defences.

However, following the departure of Devon Conway, Chennai Super Kings were right back in the business as Moeen Ali arrived in the center. Waiting for his turn, he started whacking around the cherry significantly and the kind of smashing that he handed over to Chennai Super Kings left the Gujarat Titans in a bit of agony.

Here is how Rashid Khan turned the tide against Chennai Super Kings

Ruturaj Gaikwad managed to steer around the ship while Moeen Ali hammered around the bowlers. The best of the English all-rounder came against Mohammed Shami where he chose to take on the Indian pace-bowling ace and took him to the cleaners without any ado whatsoever.

Things were turning out of control for the defending champions in the powerplay, that forced them to turn towards their best possible bowler and the man who came down the scene was none other than Rashid Khan.

After an early shriek against Moeen Ali, despite the umpire giving it out, the third umpire overturned it on account of the ball pitching outside the leg-stump. However, the following delivery was whacked straight over the bowler’s head to the ropes. With revenge burning on his mind, Rashid Khan sent a skitter screaming through the air that caught a whiff of Moeen Ali’s bat as Wriddhimaan Saha bagged a stunner.

Not only did he hold back at Moeen Ali but his vitriol against England continued as he derailed ben Stokes too. Twitter went berserk at Rashid Khan’s prolific accuracy and the kind of reliability that he brings to the side.
