Batting first, although they got a few hits, Bangladesh suffered a big blow with the dismissal of Litton Das. Nevertheless, under pressure, scoreboard pressure will be impactful and Bangladesh is playing towards setting a decent total. Just a few days ago, both Pakistan and Bangladesh seemed out of the competition. However, South Africa wilted under pressure and hence, both Asian nations now have a real chance. On Sunday, they must hold their nerves and apply themselves to gain entry into the semis. With the way in which they will progress to the semi-finals, it won’t be a surprise if they even go on to lift the trophy.
Twitter reacts as Shakib Al Hasan given out wrongly against Pakistan
It was the 11th over of the innings. Bangladesh was progressing with a decent partnership but Shadab Khan dismissed Soumya Sarkar. Shakib Al Hasan walked out to bat. In the first ball itself, there was an appeal for LBW and Shakib was given out. It was reviewed and it was clear that the bat had touched the ball. However, the third umpire felt that the spike was due to the bat hitting the ground. In the end, Shakib was given out and Pakistan got a lucky break. Here is how Twitter reacted to it:
