It is always more than a match when India and Pakistan lock horns with each other on the field. It is no secret that both teams haven’t been playing the bilateral series since 2012 owing to escalating political tensions.
However, both teams have been meeting each other at important events such as the ICC and ACC. Not long ago, both teams played against each other on 3 occasions – twice in Asia Cup and once in ICC Men’s T20 WC 2022.
India and Pakistan had their say in the two meetings of the Asia Cup this year as both teams won a game apiece. The Men in Blue beat the Men in Green by 4 wickets in the nail-biting encounter against Pakistan in Super 12 of the T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia.
Ramiz Raja assures ICC officials no decision taken on boycotting ODI World Cup in India
Meanwhile, in the latest development, Ramiz Raja has assured ICC officials that no decision has been taken on boycotting the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023 in India. Just a day ago, Ramiz Raja was sacked as PCB chairman as Najam Sethi took charge.
Moreover, the PCB had to mount pressure to get the BCCI to send its team for the Asia Cup tournament. Since no decision on boycotting the ODI World Cup in India is not taken, the fans might as well hear an update anytime soon.
A source told the news agency PTI that Ramiz Raja made it clear that Pakistan are not open-minded to the tournament being shifted anywhere else because of India because Pakistan already heavily invested in renovating infrastructure for the ICC event.
Earlier, the Pakistan cricket team suffered a humiliating Test series whitewash at the hands of the England cricket team at home. Ben Stokes and Co inflicted a 3-0 whitewash on Babar Azam and Co in the recently-concluded three-match Test series.
On the other hand, Team India won the first Test against Bangladesh by 188 runs in Chattogram and are now playing the second Test in Dhaka.
Ramiz raza is still heading PCB?

Jay Shah had categorically said India won't travel to pakistan, and requested ACC to shift it to a neutral venue. If pcb wants to go ahead with the tournament in pakistan, the board can surely go ahead nobody's stopping them.
