Delhi Capitals is fighting a war against the reigning champions, Gujarat Titans and in a show of exemplary aggression they have been fiercely defending a very low total. The Titans were off to a shaky start as they lost the likes of Widdhimaan Saha, Shubman Gill, Vijay Shankar and David Miller for cheap. One of these big wickets that would deserve a special mention is that of Vijay Shankar who was cleaned up by an absolute screamer from Ishant Sharma.
Steaming in hot over the wicket, the lanky Indian fast bowler would go onto release the knuckle-ball that would go through the defences of Vijay Shankar whose cricketing depth wasn’t enough to comprehend what he was up against.
Here is what Dale Steyn had to say about Ishant Sharma
A very late wobble in the delivery that pitched slightly outside the middle-stump would go onto hit the off-stump, leaving the entire cricketing roster in absolute awe of the stunner. Albeit Hardik Pandya’s hard fight, the experienced Ishant Sharma would produce probably one of the best balls of the tournament.
Okay, Ishant just bowled the best knuckle ball wicket I’ve ever seen!

Ideally, known as a fast bowler’s perfect weapon, Ishant would produce that knuckle ball where Vijay Shankar would be at his wit’s end to try and decipher the curve and the trajectory of the delivery. Such was the magnificence of the line and the length coupled with its late wobble that even the fast bowling icon, Dale Steyn didn’t miss out on praising the screamer.
The two teams have been battling extremely hard in order to secure two crucial points where Delhi Capitals have a slight edge over their counterparts but at the end of it all, on a track that had very little for the batters, it is the Capitals who would press hard defending a very low total, just 4 runs adrift of the RCB defence that successfully secured the bragging rights against LSG in a low-scoring thriller.
If Sandeep Sharma's delivery to get Rohit out was a thing of beauty, this knuckle ball by Ishant Sharma to get Vijay Shankar out is equally remarkable. pic.twitter.com/jiQQs0aGFx
