Australia made a staggering comeback in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. After being 2-0 down in the series, they produced a scintillating performance and pounded the hosts by 9 wickets in the Indore game to make the series 2-1. They outclassed the Rohit Sharma-led side in all three departments and made a bold statement. Their win over India in Indore also earned them a place in the final of the World Test Championship.
Predicted Australian Playing 11 for the fourth Test against India
With the series being 2-1, the focus now shifts towards the fourth and final game of the series that will be played in Ahmedabad from 9th March. Australia would be hoping to replicate a similar performance in the last game and etch their name in the record books by drawing the series.
Talking about playing 11, by promoting Travis Head up the order, it’s fair to say that Australia has found the desired opening combination. The southpaw is expected to retain his place in the top alongside Usman Khawaja, who is the leading run scorer for the side in the series so far.
Marnus Labuschagne has done decently well in the series and is likely to bat at No.3 in the fourth game in the series. Steve Smith no doubt will play at No.4. If Pat Cummins didn’t return for the last game, the batter will continue to lead the side.

Peter Handscomb has done a terrific job for Australia in the middle order and it is likely that he will bat at No.5. Alex Carey will continue keeping the wickets whereas Cameron Green, who was back in the side for third Test, is likely to retain his place at No.6 and play a crucial role with bat and ball.
The spin trio of Nathan Lyon, Todd Murphy and Matthew Kuhnemann are likely to retain their place. However, if skipper Pat Cummins returns for the fourth Test, it is likely that he will replace Murphy and form pace attack with Mitchell Starc, who was exceptional with the ball in third Test.
