“PBKS saved RCB” – Twitter reacts as RCB’s NRR is safe after RR’s win over PBKS

Rajasthan Royals locked horns with Punjab Kings in the 66th match of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League. The match took place at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamsala.

Rajasthan Royals’ captain Sanju Samson won the toss and invited Punjab Kings to bat first. RR bowlers delivered the goods so well till 18 overs but failed to keep the PBKS batters in check in the last two overs.

In the end, the Mohali-based franchise posted a competitive total of 187/6 in their designated quota of 20 overs. Sam Curran was the pick of the batters as he chipped in with 49 off 31 balls (4 fours and 2 sixes).

Jitesh Sharma scored 44 off 28 balls with the help of 3 fours and 3 hits over the fence. Shahrukh Khan scored an unbeaten 41 off 23 balls including 4 fours and 2 sixes.

Rajasthan Royals beat Punjab Kings by 4 wickets

Rajasthan Royals were tasked to chase down the target in 18.3 overs to finish at a better Net Run Rate. However, they were able to chase down the target with two balls to spare.

Devdutt Padikkal was the pick of the batters as he scored 51 off 30 balls including 5 fours and 3 sixes. Yashasvi Jaiswal provided some solidity at the top of the order as he scored 50 off 36 balls (8 fours).

Rajasthan Royals have played all 14 games so far this season. They have won seven games and lost the remainder of the seven games and they finished with 14 points.
