“Next T20 Head Coach for Team India”, Twitter reacts to the reports of BCCI is keen to use the experience of MS Dhoni, board might ask him to work with certain players in the T20 setup for bringing fearless attitude in ICC tournaments

After the recent heartbreak of India in the T20 World Cup 2022 semi-final against England, BCCI is reportedly eager to bring Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s experience to use. According to several sources, BCCI might ask the former Indian captain (who is now retired) to work with certain players in the T20 setup for bringing a fearless attitude to ICC tournaments. This sound like a good move given the fact that MS Dhoni has historically been India’s most successful captain as far as ICC tournaments are concerned.

However, many fans are seeing this as a great opportunity for Mahendra Singh Dhoni to step into the field of coaching. MS Dhoni is one of the sharpest minds to have ever stepped foot on a cricket pitch. His anecdotes and advice on the pitch were life-saving. We got the best example of it when India was bowling. His field setups and strategies were next-level. Imagine those being implemented now as well but this time, he will be doing that as a coach.

If this really does happen and MS Dhoni indeed decides to take up coaching, we might even see him as the Indian head coach in near future. He might be our next head coach after Rahul Dravid – who knows!

This is one prospect that many fans from around the have been thinking about ever since this rumour started spreading. A Twitter user named ‘Being a Medico’ wrote on the social media app: “Next T20 Head Coach for #TeamIndia”.

Earlier, MS Dhoni was appointed as Team India’s mentor in the 2021 T20 World Cup. That did not go very well though as India were eliminated in the group stage itself. However, things will definitely be different this time as BCCI will ask MS Dhoni to take a different approach. He will just have to instill a winning mentality into them.
