Bangladesh’s lower-order batsman Mehidy Hasan has been making waves in the ongoing ODI series against the Indian cricket team at home. During the first ODI, he scored a match-winning knock of unbeaten 38 off 39 balls.
His innings was so important for the hosts to pull off the ropes from the jaws of defeat. He constructed his innings with the help of 4 boundaries and 2 sixes at a strike rate of 97.44.
Mehidy Hasan’s vital knock helped Bangladesh clinch the thriller. Bangladesh got the better of Team India by 1 wicket at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka and took a 1-0 lead in the series.

Mehidy Hasan once again made his presence count in the second ODI against India at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka. The right-handed batter who came out to bat was under immense pressure after Bangladesh lost wickets like a pack of cards.
The hosts were reeling at 69/6 at one stage and it was when Mehidy Hasan and Mahmudullah put on a good show with the bat and stitched together a vital 148-run partnership for the seventh wicket, which is the highest against India in ODIs.
Mehidy Hasan remained unbeaten throughout the innings as he scored 100 off 83 balls where he composed his innings with the help of eight boundaries and four hits over the fence at a strike rate of 120.48.
On the other hand, Mahmudullah scored 77 runs off 96 balls with the help of seven fours. In the end, Bangladesh posted a competitive total of 271/7 in their quota of 50 overs.
