“I hope there’s not too much chopping…”, Sunil Gavaskar comes up with a suggestion for the Indian team management going into the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023

Team India last won the ICC title back in 2013 when the Men in Blue made it all the way to the finals to beat the England cricket team in a high-voltage encounter.

Since then, they failed to make a bid for another ICC title and the trophy drought continues for them. During the recently-concluded ICC Men’s Twenty20 World Cup 2022 in Australia, India’s performance was superb in the Super 12.

However, they failed to implement the tactics in the second semi-final against the England cricket team in Adelaide. England beat India by 10 wickets in the semi-final and inflicted a heartbreaking loss on India.

I hope there’s not too much chopping and changing and also not too many breaks for players: Sunil Gavaskar

It has been over nine years since India won an ICC title and they have a chance to end their ICC trophy drought next year because the ODI World Cup is scheduled to be held in 2023.

Team India are the hosts of the competition and they are familiar with the home conditions. If they remain consistent and play a fearless brand of cricket, then they are certain to win the third ICC ODI World Cup.

Meanwhile, former Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar came up with a bold message to Team India prior to the ICC ODI World Cup 2023. He said he hopes there are not many changes in the team.

Moreover, he added that there shouldn’t be many breaks for the players as well. He further added that the combination takes pretty much time to gel when you come into the ODI World Cup.

Last but not least, he said that there are no games where you can afford to surrender. Currently, India are in Bangladesh playing the three-match ODI series. The first game went in favour of the hosts as they scripted a 1-wicket thriller win over the visitors.
