IPL 2022 Tickets will soon go on sale as the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League is set to begin from March 26 onwards in Mumbai and Pune. Unlike previous seasons of the Indian Premier League, there will only be two cities hosting the full league round.
10 teams, namely the Chennai Super Kings, the Mumbai Indians, the Kolkata Knight Riders, the Royal Challengers Bangalore, the Gujarat Titans, the Lucknow Super Giants, the Punjab Kings, the Delhi Capitals, the Sunrisers Hyderabad and the Rajasthan Royals will participate in the 2022 season.
Because of the addition of the two new franchises, the IPL organizers had to make some changes to the IPL schedule. Instead of using the old format where teams played against each other twice, the BCCI divided the 10 franchises into two groups.
The teams in opposite groups will play against each other once, whereas the teams in the same group will play twice against each other. Also, the teams having the same seeding in opposite groups will battle twice.
How to book tickets for IPL 2022 Matches in Mumbai and Pune?
As mentioned ahead, the BCCI has allotted all IPL matches to only two cities this year. Three venues in Mumbai, namely the Wankhede Stadium, the DY Patil Stadium and the Brabourne Stadium will play host to IPL games, whereas the MCA Stadium at Pune is the fourth venue.
The IPL 2022 tickets will be available for the respective franchise on the official website of those teams as well as the official website of IPLT20.com. The ticketing partner will be announced soon. Accordingly, fans can book tickets for IPL 2022 matches.
The ticket sales are expected to open after the Test series between India and Sri Lanka. The officials have allowed only 25% seating capacity for the matches, so the tickets will be sold accordingly. The prices and details will be released soon.
