“Bhuvneshwar Kumar Was So Outstanding” : Zaheer Khan Lauds The Leading Indian Pacer

After South Africa defeated India by a margin of four wickets, the former Indian pressure Zaheer Khan has held the performance of Bhuvneshwar Kumar. The leading Indian swing bowler has taken 4 wickets by conceding just 13 runs in his quota of four overs. Zaheer Khan always looks to laud Bhuvneshwar on the occasions where his performance gets above par level but this time he has showered the rain of praises on him.

The deadly swing of Bhuvneshwar Kumar combined with the good line and length makes the actual threat for the batsman which got wickets of the batters like Reeza Hendricks and Rassi Van Der Dusen. He used to do lethal Bowling in his initial years in international cricket but after that, his swing bowling used to look pale, and in the last year, he was back in his old form.

Zak said to cricbuzz, “Bhuvneshwar Kumar was so outstanding. But [India] has not been able to close the situation. For India, there are a lot of concerns going ahead in the series and a lot of pressure. Not going to be easy for the Indian team now after the first two losses, and the way they have lost the games. In the first game too, 30 overs through the match you thought the Indian team is in the driver’s seat. Today is also a similar kind of situation. Had the ideal start with the ball”.

Later on, he provided a piece of advice to the Indian Head coach, “When the partnership was building (Klaasen-Bavuma), you could feel that the drive in the India team was going down. It was evident on the field. Those are the things Rahul Dravid and Co. need to address and do it quickly because there is only one day in between (before the 3rd T20I). They need to regroup, have some tough conversations, and identify what it is going to take for them to fight for 40 overs.”
