Former Indian Pacer Irfan Pathan has his own say on the impressive Punjab Kings southpaw Arshdeep Singh. Arshdeep is doing excellent work for PBKS from the last couple of IPL editions. He is the guy who is not renowned for gun fast bowling but for the accurate line and lengths which always do the trick for him. In this season, though he has 10-wickets in 13 games his miser economy of 7.83 helps the side of Punjab to curb runs when it is most needed.
Irfan Pathan himself as a fast bowler used to keep a similar approach and mindset to Arshdeep Singh when he was in his golden days. In the latest game against Delhi Capitals, Arshdeep bowled a superb spell of 3/37 in 4-overs with an economy rate of 9.24. Pathan previously also indicated his chances for the Indian cricket team, if he continues to bowl with this sharp accuracy.

All these qualities distinguish him from the bowlers of his age. He’s keeping big players like MS Dhoni, Hardik Pandya, or someone else silent in the death overs and that speaks volumes about the kind of talent he possesses”.
