“He didn’t listen to Siraj and Siraj sent him back. Boss material” – Twitter reacts after Mohammed Siraj said, “I just told Litton Das to play sensibly, because it’s not a T20 match”

The first Test match between the Bangladesh cricket team and the Indian cricket team turned out to be a one-sided contest so far as the day belonged to Team India for the way they applied their tactics on the field.

The visitors must be really proud of the way they played in the first two days at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram. Despite stuttering at 48/3, Team India largely benefitted from the likes of Cheteshwar Pujara and Shreyas Iyer.

The duo changed the entire complexion of the game by adding a 149-run stand for the fifth wicket, which is also the highest-ever liaison against Bangladesh for the fifth wicket in the longest format of the game.

Cheteshwar Pujara scored 90 runs whereas Shreyas Iyer chipped in with 86 runs. Let’s also not forget the fruitful contributions of Rishabh Pant and Kuldeep Yadav who scored 46 and 40 respectively.

I just told Litton Das to play sensibly, because it’s not a T20 match: Mohammed Siraj

During Bangladesh’s innings, Mohammed Siraj and Litton Das were involved in a war of words. Siraj was saying something to Litton Das and the latter was not paying attention to what Siraj was saying.

Litton Das pulled off a hearing gesture in a bid to mock Siraj in the first place. However, moments later, Siraj went on to get rid of the dangerous batter for 20 runs (5 boundaries).

After that, Virat Kohli was also seen mimicking Litton Das’ gesture soon after the batsman was dismissed by Mohammed Siraj. After the end of the day’s play, Mohammed Siraj revealed what he told Litton Das during the game.

Siraj said he just told him to play sensibly since it’s not a T20 match. Meanwhile, Bangladesh players still have plenty of work to do to come into the strong zone as they are currently struggling at 133/8.
