Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi has stated that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has not been doing anything to aid in the rehabilitation of Shaheen Shah Afridi, who has been out with a knee injury since July and has not played since then. According to Afridi, Shaheen has been doing everything on his own, including the purchase of tickets and the reservation of accommodations.
Due to a knee injury, he sustained in July while fielding, Pakistan’s top fast bowler, Shaheen Shah Afridi, was unable to participate in the most recent Asia Cup tournament. Afridi was forced to skip the tournament because of the injury. After watching Pakistan’s first game of the tournament against India from the stands, Shaheen was last spotted departing for the United Kingdom, where he would continue his recovery from his injury. In the end, he was chosen by the Pakistan Cricket Board to be a part of the 18-person team that will compete in the next Twenty20 World Cup in Australia (PCB).

What did Shahid Afridi say about Shaheen Afridi?
In a recent interview, there was a startling disclosure about Shaheen’s rehabilitation made by Shahid Afridi, a former great for Pakistan and the man who would eventually become Shaheen’s father-in-law. Afridi observed that Shaheen had not gotten any help from the PCB for his recuperation and that he had been doing everything by himself to be ready for the subsequent major event.

“When I talk about Shaheen, I say that he went by himself to England. He bought his own ticket and paid for his own hotel room. I found him a doctor, and he called the doctor himself,” said Shahid Afridi.
“He pays for everything out of his own pocket, from coordination to doctors, to his hotel room and food. So far as I know, Zakir Khan only talked to him once or twice,” added Afridi.
