Team India defeated Pakistan by 4 wickets in the first game of the 2022 T20 World Cup for both teams. An India vs Pakistan game is always bound to have a lot of battles fought on social media, too. There was one that happened after the game on Sunday, too. On that note, here, we take a look as Twitter trolls a Pakistani actress after she had challenged that she would delete Twitter if India won.
India won the game against Pakistan by 4 wickets
India had a good start to the game on Sunday. Arshdeep Singh removed Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan early. However, the Pakistan middle order did a decent job to take the team to 159 on the board. After the end of the first innings, it seemed as if India would win the game.
That said, India lost a few early wickets and they were pulled back in the chase. KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav could not add too many runs to the scoreboard. India was at 31-4 and required a strong recovery. Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya provided that. While Virat scored 82 runs from 53 balls, Hardik made 40 runs in 37 deliveries.
In the last over, India took advantage of the no-ball by Mohammad Nawaz to get to the target. Overall, it was a thrilling encounter India won in the end. With this win, India will now have less pressure in the coming games. The only obstacle could be South Africa. For Pakistan, though, they would need their established batters to step up at the earliest.
Twitterati trolls Pakistani actress
Pakistani actress Sehar Shinwari had challenged that she would delete her Twitter account before the game if India came out victorious. A few hours later, this happened and hence, all the Indian fans came back to her account. Interestingly, she had not deleted the account. Here are some reactions in this regard:
If India wins today, I'll delete Twitter forever and never come back
