Gujarat Titans made history tonight by becoming the first team to qualify for the playoffs in the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League. Not many fans backed the Ahmedabad-based franchise to make it to the IPL 2022 playoffs. In fact, some felt that they would finish 10th on the points table, but Hardik Pandya and his men have proven everyone wrong. His wife Natasa Stankovic is proud of GT’s performance.
In her latest Instagram story, Natasa Stankovic reshared a picture from the Gujarat Titans’ Instagram handle and wrote: “OMG, OMG”. She was proud and ecstatic looking at the way GT registered their ninth win of the season and booking their place in the IPL 2022 playoffs.

As mentioned ahead, not many fans gave Gujarat Titans a chance when IPL 2022 began. Hardik Pandya had not played any matches in 2022 before the IPL, while Ashish Nehra did not have a good record as a coach in the IPL. However, GT have defied the odds and attained the top spot on the IPL 2022 points table with nine wins from 12 matches. Here’s what GT wrote on Instagram after winning the game against Lucknow Super Giants:
“In January this year, we began our first ever #IPL journey with our draft picks announcement. Not all who saw us first believed in us, but we took that in our stride. In our #SeasonOfFirsts, we just wanted to believe, dream and most importantly, wanted to make our journey memorable.”
The Gujarat Titans will have an opportunity to play in front of their home fans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad if they manage to finish in the Top 2 of the points table.
