Speaking on Star Sports, the former KKR and Delhi Capitals skipper said, “If you see Rohit Sharma, he has gotten heaps of runs against KKR. I have made it very clear as well that in my seven years of captaincy, I never planned against anyone – whether it was Virat Kohli, Chris Gayle or AB de Villiers. All I had to plan in those seven years was against Rohit Sharma.”
He added, “I knew that he plays spin very well, he plays fast bowling really well, and he can attack and dominate whenever he wants irrespective of what the conditions are. He has given us a lot of nightmares.”
Rohit Sharma has been phenomenal against KKR
Kolkata Knight Riders have also struggled to contain Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma. Recently, Rohit became the first player in the competition to score 1000 runs against a single opposition. The opposition is KKR. Including six half-centuries and a century, Rohit has made a total of 1015 runs against KKR. He enjoys a strike rate of 132.16 and an average of 46.14 against the team.
