Royal Challengers Bangalore are crossing swords with Kolkata Knight Riders in the 36th match of the ongoing edition of IPL 2023. The highly-entertaining fixture is being held at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Nitish Rana and Co were asked to bat first by RCB. Talking about the game, the two-time IPL champions marched on ahead with a positive perspective as they had one heck of a day at the office.

The batters made use of their chances to better effect. The likes of Jason Roy and Nitish Rana were at their imperious best as they scored runs at the rate of knots.

Suyash Sharma bags RCB skipper in powerplay

In response to KKR’s target, RCB got off to a flying start to the game as they scored 31 runs in the first 13 balls of the innings. Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli scored runs at a rapid pace to provide a rock-solid platform.

While things were going so smoothly for them, Suyash Sharma provided a crucial breakthrough for KKR as he got rid of Faf du Plessis inside the powerplay overs. Faf du Plessis was looking so good with the bat as he scored 17 off 6 balls including 1 four and 2 sixes before he fell prey to Suyash Sharma’s bowling in the 2nd ball of the third over.
