David Warner has been the heartbeat of the Sunrisers Hyderabad team. However, in IPL 2021, SRH management shockingly dropped him from the playing XI. They named Kane Williamson as the new captain. Many SRH fans were angry after this decision.

The reason why many fans are worried about David Warner is because of IPL Auction 2022. There will be a mega auction next year. So, teams will have to release most of their players. SRH will likely retain Rashid Khan as one of the overseas players.
For the second overseas player, there will be a battle between David Warner and Kane Williamson. If SRH see Williamson as their future leader, they may release Warner. Hence, many fans are concerned about his future.

David Warner has been the cornerstone of the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the last few years. He joined the Orange Army in 2014. Since then, he has played 93 matches for the team, scoring 4,012 at a 50+ average and a strike rate of 142.83. He has scored 40 half-centuries and two hundreds for the Orange Army.
Unfortunately, the southpaw could not get going in the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League. He struggled to score runs quickly. As a result, the SRH team management sacked him as the skipper. Kane Williamson led the Hyderabad-based franchise against the Rajasthan Royals. However, SRH lost that game as well. It will be interesting to see if Hyderabad could get back to winning track in IPL 2021’s second half.
