“CSK didn’t use Rayudu properly in the last season”, Twitter reacts to the reports that Chennai Super Kings could release Ambati Rayudu and Dwayne Bravo

Chennai Super Kings are one of the consistent teams in the history of the Indian Premier League. Their conversion rate in the group stage is so good that they often qualify for the playoffs and have also made it a habit in the first place.

Although they missed out on qualifying for the playoffs in the last season, they are expected to make changes in their arsenal only to make a comeback in the next season. As per the reports, the next season could be MS Dhoni’s last season.

Reports were rife that MS Dhoni expected to kick-start his new innings in training Indian players after the conclusion of the IPL 2023 season. Under MS Dhoni’s captaincy, CSK accomplished great things in their journey. 

Chennai Super Kings could release Ambati Rayudu and Dwayne Bravo

The yellow brigade have won four trophies since the inception of the tournament. Meanwhile, as reported by Cricbuzz, it has been learnt that CSK could release Ambati Rayudu and Dwayne Bravo from their set-up ahead of the IPL 2023 season. 

Rayudu has played 188 games in the Indian Premier League. The right-handed batsman scored 4190 runs at a batting average of 29.1. He has slammed 1 century and 22 half-centuries to his name, maintaining a strike-rate of 127.1

In fact, he was brought back by CSK in the IPL 2022 auction in Bengaluru for a price tag of Rs 6.2 crore. He was decent with the bat, scoring 271 runs in 12 games at an average of 27.10 and a strike-rate of 124.31.

He finished the season as the third-highest run-getter for CSK in IPL 2022 season. On the other hand, Dwayne Bravo has been one of the vital cogs of the CSK set-up for more than a decade. After being released by the franchise ahead of the IPL 2022 season, he was re-signed by the franchise for Rs 4.4 crore. Bravo scored 1560 runs in 161 games including 5 fifties. He took 183 wickets to his name.
