CSA T20 League: 3 Sunrisers Hyderabad players who might play for the Gqeberha franchise

South Africa will have its own T20 League from now. The first edition of the same will be conducted at the start of next year. Six IPL franchises have won the bids for six different teams in CSA’s new T20 competition. Sun TV Network Ltd., which owns the Sunrisers Hyderabad, will also own the Gqeberha franchise. Obviously, they will look to get onboard some of their IPL cricketers to establish a brand. On that note, in this article, we take a look at three Sunrisers Hyderabad players who might play for the Gqeberha franchise in the CSA T20 League.

1) Aiden Markram could feature in the South Africa T20 League

Sunrisers Hyderabad had Aiden Markram playing well in IPL 2022. The batter is in good form at the moment and is also an important part of the South African setup.

It is important that the franchises recruit cricketers that would also help their brand. Markram is a popular figure in South Africa and has a lot of potential in terms of brand creation. This makes him an important target for the management.

2) Marco Jansen

Marco Jansen is also one of the Sunrisers Hyderabad players who might play for the Gqeberha franchise in the CSA T20 League. He played only a few games in IPL 2022 but did leave an impression with a couple of top spells.

A rising cricketer, Jansen will be a target for the Gqeberha franchise. He is a youngster and has a lot of scope for development. While he adds value as a powerplay bowler, Jansen also offers decent batting skills at No.7. Therefore, the owners might target the youngster for the league.

3) Nicholas Pooran

SRH paid top dollar to hire the services of Nicholas Pooran in IPL 2022 Mega-Auctions. It was on the expected lines, though. Though Pooran has not been at his best in recent IPL campaigns, he has tremendous potential. Moreover, he is a left-handed middle-order batter and a genuine wicket-keeper. He ticks multiple boxes and was therefore chased by many franchises.

It would be a similar case for the West Indian in the South African League, as well. He has the ability to change games within a few deliveries. Pooran has experience playing in multiple T20 leagues. All of it makes him a very good investment for the SRH owners.
