Royal Challengers Bangalore are one of the top teams that are yet to win a trophy since the start of India’s premier T20 competition. They are also the only team to have made it to the finals on three occasions but failed to come out on top.
The RCB franchise has a loyal fanbase and the supporters have been cheering for the team through thick and thin. Under Virat Kohli’s captaincy, RCB made it to the finals of the competition in IPL 2016 season.

Faf du Plessis who was roped in by RCB at the IPL 2022 mega auction was named the captain of the franchise. Under his captaincy, RCB qualified for the playoffs as they ended up at the fourth place in the points table.

Meanwhile, former RCB legend AB de Villiers came up with good news for the fans. He said that himself and Chris Gayle will be there for the first match of Royal Challengers Bangalore at Chinnaswamy in IPL 2023 season.
Fans took to their respective social media handles and expressed their delight on the microblogging portal. AB de Villiers has been one of the vital cogs of RCB’s batting attack during his playing days. He has played 184 games in IPL wherein he scored 5162 runs including 3 centuries and 40 fifties.
