Team India are currently in Bangladesh for the ODI and the Test assignment. The Men in Blue already lost the ODI series by 2-0, with the dead rubber scheduled to be played on December 10.
After the competition of the ODI series, India will play the two-match Test series, with the first match scheduled to be played on December 14 and the venue for the first Test is at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram.
The second Test will go all guns blazing on December 22 at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka. On the other side of the coin, the Australian cricket team are playing the Test series against the West Indies national cricket team.
The first Test between Australia and West Indies came to a close in Aussies’ favour as the hosts won the game by 164 runs and took the first lead in the two-match Test series.
Venues for India vs Australia Test series announced
Meanwhile, in the latest development, the venues for India vs Australia Test series have been announced. According to Sports Today, the four-match Test series between India and Australia will be played across four different venues.
The venues are none other than Delhi, Dharamshala, Ahmedabad and Nagpur. It will be quite interesting to see how the series pans out and one thing is certain, we can expect tough competition between both teams.
Australia haven’t really enjoyed success in India, especially in Test cricket. On the other hand, India have beaten Australia in Australia in the Test series for the second consecutive time.
As far as the standings in ICC World Test Championship are concerned, Australia are sitting on top of the table with 7 wins, 3 draws and 1 defeat with 96 points.
On the other hand, Team India are fourth on the table with 6 wins, 4 defeats and 2 draws. India will have to win most of the Test matches in order to qualify for the WTC final.
