The Board of control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has let the Indian cricketers know that the water condition in the Zimbabwean capital of Harare is not great at the moment and a lot of people in the city are struggling with shortage of water. The cricketers are, hence, being told they should ensure that they don’t take bath for a long time.
India has been touring Zimbabwe after 6 years for a 3-match ODI series and although most of the first string Indian players have been rested for the series, keeping the upcoming Asia Cup in mind, the Indian squad still has plenty of IPL stars.
India’s accomodation in Harare has been arranged in a good hotel and there is no shortage of water for them as such, but in the view of the problems that the general Zimbabwean public is facing because of water shortage, the Indian players have been told to make as little use of water as possible.
Is the water shortage only in Harare or rest of the country. ? #ZIMvIND

No. of swimming sessions of the Indian team has also been reduced in Harare
Not only the players have been told to not take long bath, the no. of swimming sessions that the team would generally have on any other tour has also been reduced on the current Zimbabwe tour and the players would be having lesser no. of swimming sessions in the pool.
An official from the BCCI, who has been in knowhow of the situation, confirmed to InsideSport that the reports of poor water situation in Harare are indeed true and BCCI has acknowledged the need to ensure as little water wastage as possible till the Indian team is there.
The Indian cricket team is not on the tour of Zimbabwe for a long time. They have to play a 3-match ODI series within the space of a week and the tour will be over, as there are no further games scheduled in any other format on the tour.
