“Bangladesh, you beauty in ODI”- Twitter hails Bangladesh as they win 6 out of last 7 ODI series by defeating WI
Bangladesh’s bowling line-up totally derailed the host West Indies players as they moved on to clinch the 3-match ODI series by 2-0 at the Guyana National Stadium on Wednesday. Being on the losing side in Tests and T20Is, the visitors were 0-2 when their only hope left was the ODI series to keep their heads high. The hosts stooped for a low 108 runs only. The visiting team won the match and the series by comprehensive efforts with 9 wickets still in hand.
Yes, they have lost the Test and the T20Is and may not be an up-to-the-mark team in those two formats, Twitter users hailed the Bangladesh ODI team and said they are a “pretty decent” unit when it comes to 50 overs format of the game. It was the 10th consecutive time Bangladesh won against the Windies and continued their winning streak since 2014. Fans all around the world celebrated Bangladesh for what they name a “dominating performance”.

Bangladesh have defeated West Indies by 9 wickets with almost 30 overs to spare. They have won another ODI series in West Indies. Just like South Africa, West Indies aren't doing themselves any favours as far as direct qualification is concerned, Bangladesh flying high. #WIvBAN

“We really wanted to win this series very badly after losing in the Tests and T20 Internationals. We know this is the format we are strongest in and it was important to show that confidence after the earlier disappointments,” said Tamim Iqbal, the Bangladesh captain who led the comfortable pursuit of such a modest target, sealing victory and reaching a 53rd ODI half-century with his seventh boundary.
With Bangladesh emerging as a strong ODI team, people feel that they shouldn’t be taken lightly and the respective cricket board should make more arrangements for them to play against strong teams in the format rather than playing Zimbabwe and West Indies. With this team and the amount of effort they are putting in, Bangladesh is well enough capable of clinching the ODI CWC, let alone giving a strong fight to the other teams.
