“At this point it’s pretty evident who really wants it” – Twitter reacts after Ramiz Raja said, “there shouldn’t be an excuse for Pakistan not playing in India or India not playing in Pakistan as the World wants it”

Pakistan cricket team surrendered at the hands of the England cricket team in the ongoing Test series at home. The hosts entered the series as the favourites but ended up on the losing side in the first two games.

England won the first Test by 74 runs and the second Test by 26 runs to seal the series, which also crashed Pakistan’s hopes of qualifying for the World Test Championship (WTC) final.

They have lost the last three Tests on the trot at home. Earlier, they lost to Australia in the third Test and ended up losing the series by 1-0. On the other hand, Team India are looking forward to the Test series against Bangladesh.

Earlier, the Men in Blue lost the ODI series by 2-1 and will be eager to unleash their full potential in the upcoming Test series in order to keep their WTC final hopes alive because they will have to win 5 out of 6 games.

There shouldn’t be an excuse for Pakistan not playing in India or India not playing in Pakistan: Ramiz Raja

Meanwhile, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ramiz Raja said that there should not be an excuse for Pakistan not playing in India or India not playing in Pakistan in the first place. He further added that the world wants to see India vs Pakistan.

The last time when Pakistan locked horns with India in the bilateral series, was back in 2012. Little did the fans know that it was the last bilateral series featuring both teams.

Since then, both nations have been crossing swords with each other in the ICC and ACC events. Pakistan and India played against each other twice in Asia Cup and once in T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia.

India won the first meeting in the Asia Cup by five wickets before going to lose to Pakistan in the Super 4 fixture by 5 wickets. After that, the Men in Blue won the group stage fixture against Pakistan in T20 WC 2022.
