“They literally let go Rashid khan and David warner for him”, Twitter reacts asSunrisers Hyderabad could release Kane Williamson ahead of IPL 2023 mega auction

Sunrisers Hyderabad won their first title in the IPL 2016 season by defeating Royal Challengers Bangalore in the final. Since then, they have been pretty confident in their approach and pretty consistent in winning games.

Sunrisers Hyderabad who have been one of the consistent teams in the IPL totally messed up the plot as far as the fifteenth edition of the Indian Premier League is concerned.

There was a massive change in the team as David Warner was stripped of captaincy and Kane Williamson was named the captain of the team.

However, things didn’t turn out well for Sunrisers as they failed to qualify for the playoffs. Sunrisers have appointed as many as six coaching staff for the upcoming season.

Sunrisers Hyderabad could release Kane Williamson: Reports

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) franchise might make a bold decision ahead of the upcoming auction. The 2016 IPL champions could release their captain Kane Williamson from their arsenal, as per a report by Cricbuzz.

Kane Williamson has played 76 games in the IPL so far and has scored 2357 runs at an average of 32.7 and a strike-rate of 123.5. Overall, he has amassed 16 half-centuries to his name.

Earlier, the SRH franchise had appointed Brian Lara as the head coach. The franchise took to their official Twitter handle and confirmed the development that the cricketing legend will be the chief coach of Sunrisers.

Sunrisers hardly made an impact in the last season where they ended up at the eighth place in the IPL 2022 points table. SRH lost more games than the number of games they won in the last season.

They managed to win six games and lost as many as eight games, securing just 12 points at a terrible Net Run Rate of -0.379. However, they are expected to do well in the upcoming season.

They have already made changes in their coaching staff and will be looking forward to roping in the right players for the next season.
