The second match of the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League series between the England cricket team and the South African cricket team is currently underway at the Mangaung Oval. It is a crucial match for the South African cricket team because they need to earn the 10 points in the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League. During the match, Jos Buttler had a war of words with Rassie van der Dussen.
It is rare to see players sledging each other on the cricket field these days because they play together in various T20 leagues across the world. Just a few months ago, Buttler was playing with van der Dussen for the Rajasthan Royals in the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League.
In fact, Rassie’s wife even hilariously commented that people mistook her as Buttler’s wife because the cameras focused on her whenever he achieved big on the field.

What had Rassie van der Dussen’s wife said about Jos Buttler?
As mentioned ahead, a majority of the Indian Premier League mistook the wife of Rassie van der Dussen as the wife of Jos Buttler. Speaking on the podcast of the Rajasthan Royals team, Lara van der Dussen said during IPL 2022:
“People think I’m Jos’ wife. I definitely think it’s because I’ve been in camera quite a few times. And Dhanashree and I cannot control ourselves next to the field as we are quite invested in the cheering.”
Both players will not play together in IPL 2023 though, as van der Dussen has been released by the Royals. Even in SA20, they play for different teams.
