It is no secret that cricket is one of the most-followed sports in the world. The bat-ball game is now broadcast to audiences across the globe by means of various communication mediums.
It includes the internet, social media portals, TV, newspaper, radio and so on. With several cricket competitions or tournaments being held across the world, it has also paved the way for an increase in broadcast technology.
Nowadays, we have plenty of media outlets which bring awareness to the people about the sport and several cricket stars. Apart from that, the broadcaster also reserves the highest respect for the players when they perform well and live up to their reputation.
Besides that, the broadcaster doesn’t shy away from criticizing the players’ performances when they are not up to the mark. There are several cricket pundits who rate, analyze and express their views on modern-day players.
Fox Sports makes a big blunder while showing David Warner’s statistics
Meanwhile, a popular broadcaster by the name of “Fox Sports” hogged the limelight for a bizarre reason as it made a massive blunder while highlighting David Warner’s statistics after the end of Day 2 of the second Test between Australia and South Africa.
David Warner had a spectacular day at the office as he went on to score his third Test double-century. The experienced campaigner who has been out of form in Test cricket made a terrific comeback by accomplishing the milestone off 254 balls at a pretty decent strike rate of 78.
After the end of Day 2, Fox Sports showed Warner’s statistics across formats where he scored 7922 runs in Tests, 6007 runs in One-Day Internationals and 2894 runs in T20Is.
Now here comes the twist in Warner’s statistics. Instead of showing his stats in the form of runs, the broadcaster presented them in the form of wickets. The broadcaster showed that Warner has 16823 wickets to his name.
Meanwhile, the fans couldn’t stop mocking the broadcaster on social media, with many saying that Warner’s wicket-taking records will never be broken.

#AUSvsSA
David Warner will not just forever remain the greatest bowler/highest wicket taker of all time (past/present/future) in the world, he alone will also be better than the next 100 bowlers at any point in time.
Just needs to work on his avg though:)@LiebCricket https://t.co/j9NtmIBim2— Praveen Verma (@Praveen09166903) December 27, 2022
Just pray he gets the necessary 78 wickets in the next test to make the magical 8000🤞🙏

Wow. Such a great cricketer of our generation. In fact he is so great, that after bowling out the opposition twice every match, he even asked the spectators to go in and have a bat. And then he bowled them out too!!! What greatness!!!

100 test matches. 20 wickets per match. That's a total of 2000 wickets. Incredible how he was able to take 7922 wickets out of 2000. Avg's a bit on the higher side though. Lol 🤣 conceded a few runs too, didn't he
