Rishabh Pant gets ruled out of the ODI series against Bangladesh
India will take on Bangladesh in the first match of the three-match ODI series at Dhaka. Hosts skipper Litton Das won the toss and put the opposition into bat. However, at the toss skipper Rohit Sharma announced that they have few injuries in the camp
One player that has been ruled out of the series is wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant. The southpaw was not available for selection as he suffered an injury and has been released from the squad. The keeper batter will now join the team ahead of the Test series.
Talking to official Twitter BCCI released the official statement and said: “In consultation with the BCCI Medical Team, Rishabh Pant has been released from the ODI squad. He will join the team ahead of the Test series. No replacement has been sought.”
Notably, the keeper batter will get the much-needed break. He has been continuously playing cricket which is one of the main reasons behind his poor form. It is expected that he will set the stage on fire in the Test series.
