Maharashtra captain Ruturaj Gaikwad has made it a habit of scoring valuable knocks for the team. The right-handed batsman has been in surreal form in List A cricket since 2021.
Thus, he earned the tag of a run-machine in List A because runs keep coming from his willow and there is literally no stopping him once he gets into the groove. Recently, he scripted history by becoming the first cricketer to smash 7 sixes in an over off Shiva Singh against Uttar Pradesh.
During the game, Ruturaj Gaikwad scored an unbeaten 220 off 159 balls where he slammed as many as 10 boundaries and 16 hits over the fence and drew plaudits for his incredible batting performance.
His phenomenal batting performance helped Maharashtra make it to the semi-finals of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022. Currently, Maharashtra are locking horns with the Assam cricket team in the second semi-final at Narendra Modi Stadium B Ground, Ahmedabad.

Meanwhile, Gaikwad once again showcased his dominance during the semi-final clash against the Assamese cricket team. The right-handed batter scored runs at the rate of knots, aggregating 168 off 126 balls before he was dismissed by Riyan Parag.
Maharashtra captain scored as many as 18 fours and 6 sixes to his name at a strike rate of 133.33. On the other hand, Ankit Bawne scored 110 off 89 balls including 10 fours and 2 sixes. Maharashtra posted 350/7 in their quota of 50 overs against Assam.
