“Young boys in Pakistan in U15, U19 and young cricketers should learn from Virat Kohli,” Kamran Akmal on Indian batter innings in T20 World Cup 2022

Virat Kohli scored unbeaten 82 runs against Pakistan

Former Pakistan cricketer Kamran Akmal praised Indian batter Virat Kohli for his innings against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup 2022. He said that young boys from his country should learn from Indian cricketers and they should be shown his entire innings.

“Young cricketers should learn from Virat Kohli, should be shown the entire innings

Virat Kohli himself rated his knock against Pakistan as the best in his T20 career. This clearly depicts what sort of innings he played. At one stage, it never looked that India would win.

But one man believed in himself and it was none other than Virat Kohli. Chasing the target of 160 runs, India was reeling at 31/4. The right-hander then along with Hardik Pandya soaked in all the pressure and stitched a crucial 100+ partnership.

It was an exhibition of high-class batting by Kohli as he sealed the match from the jaws of defeat to help his side begin their campaign on high. He first slowly ticked the scorecard and then upped his ante that put pressure back on Pakistan.

Kohli remained unbeaten on 82 runs and it was a ‘vintage’ Kohli innings who asserted his authority and once again proved why is he rated as the best in the world. He earned rich praises for his knock and many rated his as one of the ages.

Kamran Akmal also joined the bandwagon and praised Kohli for his performance. Citing him as an example, he said that young players in Pakistan should learn from him. He said:

“I think all our young boys in Pakistan in U15, U19 and young cricketers should learn from Virat Kohli, should be shown the entire innings of Virat Kohli. Virat Kohli smashed six against Haris, nobody can do that.”

If it was Pakistan, they would’ve lost the match by 30-40 runs – Kamran Akmal

Continuing his praise on Virat Kohli, he said that if there was any other batter in his place the match would not have come this far. Speaking in a video posted on his YouTube channel, he added:

“If there was any other batter in his place, the match would not have come this far. Honestly, if this was our (Pakistan) batting we would have lost it by 30-40 runs. We can’t handle such pressure.”
