REPORTS: Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel have been given the all-clear to participate in India’s next T20I series against Australia

According to Cricbuzz, Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel, who did not participate in India’s unsuccessful campaign in the Asia Cup due to injury concerns, are set to return to their national squad for the upcoming Twenty20 World Cup. This will be their first appearance in the tournament since India’s failed campaign in the Asia Cup. The story went on to say that both individuals had already returned to the NCA in full physical form.

Both India’s talismanic pacers, Jasprit Bumrah, and Harshal Patel have reportedly been bowling normally at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru in recent times after recovering from their respective injuries, as stated by a report that was published by Cricbuzz. Harshal had a side strain that kept him from participating in India’s Asia Cup campaign, while Bumrah has been out since July with a back issue that has kept him from playing for India. They have already reached their peak level of fitness, and it is virtually inevitable that India will include them in the team that will compete in the next Twenty20 World Cup in Australia.

What is the status regarding Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel?

“Both Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel are expected to be included in the Indian side that will compete in the Twenty20 World Cup. It may seem like a no-brainer that the two most important bowlers for the team will be making a comeback, but the most important aspect of their return is their health, and it is thought that they have given the all-clear to return,” the report from Cricbuzz was read.

In addition, the Cricbuzz article claimed that Bumrah and Harshal would get matches in the forthcoming home series that India will play against Australia and South Africa, and their fitness will be evaluated throughout those matches.

“However, the selectors will be paying close attention to how Bumrah and Harshal perform in the next Twenty20 International series at home against Australia and South Africa. Both will be required to take part in the matches,” the article continued to say.

It is anticipated that the meeting of the BCCI selection committee will take place by September 15. In the meantime, the next World Cup, which will be held in Australia, will begin on October 16 and will continue until November 13.
