CSA T20 League: 3 Delhi Capitals players who might play for the Pretoria franchise

JSW Sports, which is one of the owners of the Delhi Capitals in IPL, will also own a franchise in Cricket South Africa’s new T20 League. Based out of Pretoria, the team will have its base-ground at the SuperSport Park. The owners will surely have a few cricketers from their IPL outfits on mind for representing them in South Africa. On that note, in this article, we take a look at three Delhi Capitals players who might play for the Pretoria franchise in the CSA T20 League.

1) David Warner could feature in the South Africa T20 League

David Warner is already held up in the tug-of-war between the Big Bash League, the South African League and even the UAE T20 League. It will be interesting to see which tournament he picks because all these three competitions will take place at around the same time.

Nevertheless, JSW would want Warner onboard for their franchise in South Africa. There are no doubts about the value he brings as a cricketer. He is also a crowd favorite and will be a strong contender for captaincy. Therefore, he will be on the top of the list of targets.

2) Anrich Nortje

Anrich Nortje is also one of the Delhi Capitals players who might play for the Pretoria franchise in the CSA T20 League. Retained before the IPL 2022 Mega-Auctions, Nortje will be the prime target for JSW Sports.

As seen recently, the tall pacer adds immense value with his four overs. He is also one of the lead pacers for his country. In the bowling department, he will surely be the main objective for the franchise.

3) Lungi Ngidi

Lungi Ngidi did not get a lot of chances to show his skills in IPL 2022. That said, in a domestic league based out of South Africa, the pacer will be an asset. In fact, he will be expected to lead the pace bowling unit of a side.

In that context, Ngidi, although a Durban-born cricketer, will be a target for the Pretoria-based franchise. This will also depend on whether the team can sign Nortje in the first place.
