Let’s also not forget the fact that the leading wicket-taker for India in One-Day Internationals and Test cricket is a spinner and is none other than Anil Kumble who has taken 334 wickets in ODIs and 619 wickets in Tests.

Case in point, the Indian cricket fraternity has witnessed spinners dismissing the highest percentage of batters for a duck in Test cricket (minimum 200 wickets). Let’s take a look at all six of them below.

1. Ravindra Jadeja

India’s veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja tops the list as he dismissed the highest percentage of batsmen for a duck in the longest format of the game. The star cricketer has dismissed 16.3% of the batsmen for ducks in Tests.

2. Ravichandran Ashwin

Ravichandran Ashwin comes second on this list in terms of dismissing the highest percentage of batters for a duck in Test cricket (minimum of 200 wickets). The veteran cricketer dismissed 14.8% of batters for ducks.

3. Harbhajan Singh

Popularly known as “Turbanator”, Harbhajan Singh was one of the key players of the Indian cricket team. Harbhajan Singh has dismissed 14% of the batsmen for a duck in the longest format of the game.

4. Anil Kumble

Anil Kumble is the leading wicket-taker for the Indian cricket team in One-Day Internationals and Tests. India’s bowling great has dismissed 12.4% of the batsmen (minimum 200 wickets) for a duck in Test cricket.

5. Bhagwat Subramanya Chandrasekhar

Bhagwat Subramanya Chandrasekhar who operated as a leg-spinner from 1964 to 1979 for the Indian cricket team is fifth on this list. The former Indian spinner has dismissed 12% of the batters for a duck in red-ball cricket.

6. Bishan Singh Bedi

Bishan Singh Bedi who was part of the famous Indian spin quartet from 1966 to 1979. The former slow left-arm orthodox bowler has dismissed 11% of the opposition batters for a duck in the longest format.
