The presence of mind and the attention which the wiki-batter has to keep in the field is much more than any other player in the team. India has been so lucky to have the finest wicket-keepers of the world like MS Dhoni, Rahul Dravid and now Rishabh Pant. MS Dhoni is considered as the most successful wicketkeeper of the world and he served Indian Cricket for almost 16 years, made enormous contributions by his wicket keeping.

He is considered as the quickest hands in cricket and especially in the Asian subcontinent. Along with him Kumar Sangakkara is also in the category who had a sharp presence of mind on the field. There below is a list of five wicket keepers who have most stumpings achieved in their international cricket career.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the name who is among the most popular personalities of cricket fraternity. He has in total made 444 dismissals in international cricket and among them 123 are the loan stumpings where he has the major hand in getting the wicket of the batsman. Msd has made the record of fastest stumping in 0.9 second. These are the crucial achievements which puts him in the number one position in this catalogue.

2. Kumar Sangakkara (99).

Kumar Sangakkara is the second guy who stamps his name in the list of most stumpings by the wicket keepers. The Sri Lankan veteran has clinched 99 stumpings in his whole international career and he is the second successful wicketkeeper after MS Dhoni. The prime thing about Kumar Sangakkara is his sharp attention while keeping the wickets. No one forgot his brilliant stumping on which Jimmy Maher of Australia got weirdly out and that was the perfect example of Sangakkara’s flawless ability to keep wickets.

3. Romesh Kaluwitharana (75).

Romesh Kaluwitharana is the most underrated name in the sphere of elegant wicket keepers of world cricket. The Sri Lankan cricketer has clinched 75 stumpings in his career of 14 years. He also played a key role in the world cup of 1996 for Sri Lanka where they achieved their maiden ICC trophy. 4. Moin Khan (73).

Moin Khan from Pakistan comes at fourth into the list with the total tally of 73 stumpings in his career. He was the former vice captain of Pakistan limited-overs side who got to the Pinnacle of their cricket in the era of early 20s. The Pakistani wiki has to do a tough work while keeping the wickets against the pacers like Shoaib Akhtar, Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis. Despite a short height he has been able to counter the sharp bouncers of this triad during the game play.

5. Adam Gilchrist (55).

The staggered wicket keeper of Australia who used to open for them in all three formats comes at the last position in the chronics. In the comparison with the first four greats he seems to be too far with only 55 stumps in his career. But he is no where in terms of the quality and the command over the skill of keeping the wickets. Gilchrist retired in the year 2008 from all formats of the game leaving a big legacy behind him which will continuously keep inspiring the upcoming youngsters of Australian cricket.
