5 Pacers Who Could Score Most Dream 11 Points in IPL 2021

Dream 11 points in IPL have become the latest method to gauge a player’s achievement in a game. The platform uses a design wherein a few points are allotted to every fulfilment on the field. Based on the total number of points a player accomplishes, it can be easily concluded if the cricketer had a good outing or not.

Although all-rounders have the best opportunity to garner maximum Dream 11 points in a T20 game, the pacers are also not far behind. In the death overs, every batsman intends to strike big and in the process, exposes himself to conceding his wicket. It is here that the pacers come into the game. On that note, here are five pacers who can score the most Dream 11 points in IPL 2021.

1. Trent Boult

Trent Boult was a revelation in IPL 2020. He was able to pick wickets consistently in the power play and was the perfect foil for Jasprit Bumrah. In the ongoing edition, the Kiwi has a good chance to win plenty of Dream 11 points.

Batsmen usually stay conservative to Jasprit Bumrah whenever he comes on to bowl. They look to see him off and attack the other bowlers. At the death, Mumbai Indians use Boult as Bumrah’s partner. Hence, when the batsmen try to go big, they tend to lose their wickets to the left-arm pacer. Taking nothing away from him. Boult’s variations also trick the batsmen into playing the false shots.

2. Harshal Patel

When this season started, everyone’s attention was on RCB’s death bowling. However, it seems the franchise had plans for it in the pre-tournament period.

Harshal Patel did well in the first few encounters, and he is likely to be the leader of death-bowling at RCB. As seen in the first innings’ last over of the season opener, the Haryana player does seem to have worked on his variations. All of this would bode well in earning a chunk of Dream 11 points.

3. Pat Cummins

Although Pat Cummins did well in the back end of IPL 2020, his overall performance last season was not up to the mark. While many felt that employing him at the death was a bad ploy, it seems KKR will stick to the strategy this season.

Gaining Dream 11 points in IPL at the death is quite manageable for the pacers. They need to pick wickets and in no other phase of the game will they get better opportunities to do that. Pat Cummins is a fine bowler who has worked on his death-bowling skills since the last campaign. Hence, he could win quite a few points this campaign.

4. Bhuvneshwar Kumar

Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been one of the best pacers in the Indian Premier League. In recent years, he has missed many games due to injuries. However, he looks to be fit and in the form in IPL 2021.

Hence, there are chances that Bhuvi could end up as the highest Dream 11 points earning pacer in the ongoing season. While swinging the cherry is his natural strength, the SRH quick bowler has aced bowling yorkers and dishing out variations at the death. Both are the perfect formula to earn Dream 11 points in IPL.

5. Chetan Sakariya

Chetan Sakariya has turned up to become a promising signing for Rajasthan Royals. The youngster was one of the highest wicket-takers at the recent Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

It appears that the left-arm pacer will operate at the death along with Morris and Mustafizur. He is wily and seems to have plenty of tricks. This could help him earn a lot of Dream 11 points.
